Too many tablets on the counter? Put every order on one screen
It's seven on a Friday. The Deliveroo tablet chimes, then the Uber Eats one, then the phone goes and somebody at the pass writes "2 x chicken, no onion, 7.40" on the back of a ticket. Four places for an order to arrive, and every one of them needs a person watching it.
None of those channels is the problem. The apps put your food in front of people who'd never have walked past your door, and they're worth keeping. The phone and the counter are your regulars, the people who know your number by heart. The trouble is that each one arrives somewhere different and works from its own copy of your menu.
Where it goes wrong
You've probably had all of these in one service.
A dish sells out at half eight. You turn it off on one app, forget the other, and twenty minutes later you're ringing a customer to explain. A price went up in March and it's right on Uber Eats, wrong on Deliveroo and still the old figure on the menu by the till. The phone order on the notepad gets a coffee ring over the address. Somebody new on shift accepts an order on the wrong tablet and nobody tells the kitchen.
Each mistake is small. Together they're refunds, bad reviews and a kitchen that's always half listening for a chime.
One screen for every order
With Rowbo, the orders from Uber Eats and Deliveroo arrive on the same orders screen as the ones you take yourself. It runs on a phone or tablet you already own, with no hardware to buy, and it rings on every new order until somebody deals with it. You accept with a prep time or turn it down, the same way for every order, wherever it came from.
How the kitchen sees them is up to you. Some places want a printed ticket at the pass. Some want a screen above the grill. Some are happy with the tablet on the counter and an email copy as a backup. Tell us how your kitchen works and we set it up that way.
The app tablets can stay plugged in. Nothing changes for your customers, your app accounts stay yours, and the apps pay you out exactly as they do now. The difference is that nobody has to stand between three screens to know what's coming next.
One menu instead of three
Change a price, a photo or a sold-out dish once with us, and we update it on each app you sell on and on your own site. When the lamb runs out at half eight, it runs out everywhere. When the prices go up in March, they go up everywhere.
That's the bit owners tell us wears them down most. It isn't hard work. It's the same small job done three times, by whoever remembers, usually at the worst moment of the night.
The orders you take yourself
The phone and the notepad don't have to stay the way they are. Your regulars can order from your own site for collection, from your own drivers or at the table, and pay as they order. Those orders land on the same screen as everything else, with the address typed by the customer and the money already taken.
Card payments cost Stripe's standard 1.5% + 20p (checked 3 October 2026) and the money goes into your own Stripe account, in your business name. We take nothing on top. Cash on collection is fine too.
What it costs
Ordering starts at £50 a month per location, with no contract. We build the site from your Google listing, load your menu item for item, connect your apps, and go through it all with you before a single order comes in. See how ordering works, or tell us your business name and we'll show you your own menu on it.
Take orders on your own website
Collection, your own delivery or ordering at the table. Each order reaches you by email as a kitchen ticket and the money goes to your own Stripe account. Tell us about the place and we'll set it up with you.
